Financial Resources for Current StudentsSPECIAL FELLOWSHIPS AND SCHOLARSHIPSGeneral Policies1. No student, new or transfer, will be considered for admission or financial aid without an application. 2. As a result of the Tax Reform Act of 1986, any financial aid award or combination of awards (fellowships, assistantships or traineeships) in excess of the level of tuition, fees, and related educational expenses are considered as taxable income and must be reported to federal and state taxing authorities. No fellowship or scholarship may be considered or used as payment for services rendered. 3. Only students enrolled in full-time Ph.D. programs are eligible for fellowship, traineeship or assistantship support.
