Dear PhD Graduate Student: 

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on behalf of the Division for successfully completing your Ph.D.  At this time I would like to invite you to participate in the Divisional Academic Ceremony, which is being held Friday, June 13, 2008.  On this formal academic occasion, the Division honors its students who have earned a Ph.D. degree from the Division in the past year.  You will receive an academic hood as a gift from the Division of Biological Sciences and you may ask your academic advisor or an immediate family member with appropriate professional or doctorate degree to hood you during the ceremony. 

I would also like to invite you to a Celebration Dinner at the Drake Hotel on Thursday, June 12, 2008.  You are welcome to extend an invitation to your family and friends.   You will receive an electronic request form.
