10:00 am Tent on 59th Street between Ellis and Maryland Avenues On this formal academic occasion, the Division honors its students and celebrates their academic achievements.
Graduates are asked to arrive at 9:00 a.m. at the Goldblatt Pavilion at 860 E. 59th Street in Room H-103 to assemble for the processional march. Each student will receive a gift of an academic hood, appropriate to his/her MD or PhD degree, from the Division . Only those graduates participating in the DAC Hooding Ceremony will receive a hood.
Hooding will be done by your Academic Advisor. Please contact them to reserve the date. The student may alternately choose one of the following: a family member with a professional degree (MD or PhD), a U of C faculty member, or a U of C alumnus for hooding. NOTE: Individuals who plan to hood graduates must wear academic regalia and must sit on stage with U of C faculty.
Any academic awards earned by the student during his/her tenure in the Division will be noted in the program. After the ceremony, a buffet lunch will be provided for graduates and their families.
